This morning I learned something new. Don’t wait around for people.
Yes. Yes. You’ve told me this before. and of course I never listen until I learn for myself.
Well I woke up around 6:30 this morning a little later then normal but I was in and out of sleep for like 45 minutes. anyway I knew that I was going to the gym at 8:30am today so i was waiting for my workout buddy to wake up and figured we could eat a light healthy breakfast with all of the new awesome healthy groceries we got and get ready for the gym. She took forever to get up and I realized I could have done a good I would say 30 minute workout before I headed to the gym.
Anyway tomorrow is another day and another day for improvement
treadmill 30 minutes
eliptical machine 30 minutes
100 leg lifts
25 sit ups
Feeling pretty good today with my subway sandwich lunch with a side of red/pink grapefruit.
Today I FINALLY made it back to the gym after like a month. lol but I did it
30 min treadmill
30 min elliptical machine
omg was i sweaty. but i felt good. i thought i was going to be in more pain, but i wasn’t :) and I’m feeling so ready for weigh in wednesday with all the new groceries i bought today cause they’re all healthy.
So I went here today and in order to get here you have to walk down a slope and in order to get back to your car you have to walk back up. there was another place we visited and it was closer to the water and much prettier but also took a lot more effort to get to. i felt like i was on a real hike lol i wish we had places like this near where i lived so i could walk around there often it looks so pretty.
eating habits..not so great today but i did buy a whole bunch of fruits and vegetables and healthy foods at the store to eat during the rest of the week.
exercise was hiking for a good i would say hour between all the going up and going down and trying not to slip on the rocks lol
So as soon as I said it was nice outside, the heat picked up and it began to get a little warm. Instead of going out in the heat and making my sun burn worse, I decided to do some house work and keep moving. I turned on my pedometer on my phone and started doing things the long way. Everytime I folded a shirt i walked across the room to put it away to get my steps up higher. I’m actually tired from all the cleaning i’ve done today and I think tonight I’ll do a few reps of my morning workout. I’ve been doing things the longer way so my room is taking a while to get clean but my pedometer is up in count. I know this isn’t “real” exercise but it’s definitely more then what i was doing before lol but on a better note, i’ve eaten pretty well today compared to others.
I kinda want to go for a walk outside because the day looks so nice. I don’t really want to go by myself though…I’m not too fond of stray dogs and this area right outside my neighborhood. I’ll let you know what happens..
I had the intentions to workout yesterday, but I was still so full and then I wound up eating some more :( By not working out yesterday that means I have no more rest days this month lol Its only the tenth and all my rest days are gone -.- but I’m not going to dwell on my day of lost exercise I’ll just do better today :)
I completely slacked off today cause I had so much stuff to do. Baptism, baptism pictures, birthday brunch, cake, entertaining, another birthday party, and then dinner. I’m hoping my food goes down fast enough to work out within the next hour before I take a nap til tomorrow. I’ll update you in an hour lol i guess ill find time in a bit. but at least the baptism went pretty well.
Today, I tried out the 1000 workout where you do 10 different exercises 100 times each. I didn’t quite make it to the 1000 but I did do 50 of each exercise so its half. like a 500 workout instead of 1000. My arms are so tired though. Apparently I haven’t learned how to do push-ups very well lol. Only five at a time so it was very slow. It took me almost 30 minutes to do all of these exercises 50 times each.
Today I did:
60 seconds of plank
50 leg raises
50 crunches (with 5 lb. weight ball & 2.5 lb ankle weights on each ankle)
50 side crunches (with 5 lb. weight ball & 2.5 lb ankle weights on each ankle)
60 seconds of superman
50 sit ups
50 glute bridges
50 leg raises (laying down with 2.5 lb ankle weights on each ankle)
All in all I think it was a fairly productive workout. It definitely tested my strength. My legs were shaking during some exercises and then my arms were shaking during others. I still want to get up earlier so that I can fit this type of workout in even if I have to work in the morning or if I have class. We’ll see what happens. Now I think its time for a shower :)
So I almost didn’t make it today lol I woke up super early and got ready for work. Then came home, had lunch, ran a few errands, and went back to work, had dinner, relaxed, ran some more errands, and finally got on the treadmill. 15 min. small calorie burn. But I had a headache all day to day and it seems to finally be letting up. after I worked out. That’ll teach me right?
Well I can feel my asthma beginning to bother so I’m trying to get that under control before it gets worse. I think it has to do with a lot of the dust that was blowing around this past week and then some idiot was cleaning the air vents in the room I was working in and making all kinds of dust. It even hurt to breathe in there.
Oh and to explain my title. I now have 3 followers. I think its kind of exciting :) lol even if it is only 3.
Oh yeah. And it’s weigh in Wednesday today. I remembered that after I ate lol
So right before I got into the shower, I weighed myself. I’ll probably do it again later too lol but right now I’m at 175. Thats higher then when i started “Dear Dave” but I know where I’ve made my mistakes. Its definitely in my diet more then anything else. Burgers, Milkshakes, Fries, lol all those things people tell you not to eat. :p Next week will be better. I know it because I’m starting out this week better then last week so next week should be awesome!
Today I woke up at 5:45, and by the time 6:30 rolled around I was out the door walking lol I know I need to get better at that :p but I am. Trust me I’ve been more productive this morning then I have been in the past few days lol but anyway today I walked 2 miles outside my house. My pedometer said it was 5,531 steps that I walked. My phone is so versatile lol I thought about doing some other exercises when i got back home, but I didn’t get around to it. maybe later tonight. I know i’ll sleep well though lol
okay so I have definitely been slacking lately dave. I actually find it kinda sad and disappointing because I thought I was doing so well…
Again I could not seem to get myself up this morning even though I slept like 12 hours (horrible sleep night on sunday night) and today I got up but only seemed to have enough time to get ready for my eye dr. appointment which took forever and made me late to work -.- So finally around 8:30 I did some exercise just so I wouldn’t have to use a rest day on a very unproductive day. It was an extremely light exercise day lol like I think I did it just to say I did something…horrible. Anyway tomorrow is another day and I will definitely do much better. How could I not lol
Today I used my new ankle weights I got for my birthday :) and I did:
50 leg raises
50 leg lifts
Yeah. Light exercise day. Ate horribly so I’m still full and Now I’m tired for some reason. Tomorrow WILL be better. I swear. but at least I didn’t use a rest day, even if it was kind of a lame exercise day.
Well today is my birthday and I thought I would take the day off. Yesterday we celebrated early since I had stuff to do today so I took yesterday off from exercising (but walked all around Santa Monica for about 2 hours) and I really wasn’t planning to workout today. I woke up a little later today and finally decided to workout :D
today i did:
20 push-ups (something new)
60 forward crunches with 5 lb. weight
100 leg raises
30 left side crunches with 5 lb weight
30 right side crunches with 5 lb weight
I’m not going to do the treadmill today but I do feel pretty good about today since I wasn’t going to make time for my workout and I actually did. so awesome.
but no excuses right? So again I missed the whole 5:30 block but I did get up at 6 and did about 20 minutes of various exercises.
Today I did:
65 crunches with a 5 lb weight
50 leg raises
60 seconds of plank
35 seconds of right plank
14 seconds of left plank
and 30 squats with a 5 lb weight
I keep forgetting to turn off my fan so that I’ll sweat more when I work out. Anyway around 8 I’ll get on the treadmill and burn off some excess calories. I took a break for breakfast and some water (special k, low fat milk, and water)
maybe tomorrow since its saturday i’ll do some light yoga to stretch the soreness out of my..body lol ribs, knees, thighs…they all hurt. especially since i won’t be able to use the treadmill tomorrow unless i go to the gym.
so I got on the treadmill for about 20 minutes. thats another 135 calories burned off. I’m feeling pretty good at the moment. gonna shower soon and get dressed for the day. one of my goals this summer is to do what i do right now but earlier in the day.
This morning I was able to actually do some exercise before my day actually started.
Technically I woke up at 5:30 but didn’t really start doing exercise until about 6:00. It’s definitely an awesome feeling even though I didn’t do as much exercise as I wanted to do before 6:15 am. I still did:
50 crunches (with weight ball)
50 leg raises (getting some ankle weights soon)
20 lunges on each leg (a total of 40 lunges altogether)
I didn’t get a chance to get on the treadmill this morning and since I feel like that was such a light workout I’m debating whether or not to wash up or just continue again at 8 on a workout. I have so been slacking on most days but today was definitely a better day, and its only 6:30am :) Hopefully I can continue this wake up thing the rest of the week.
I really need to stop taking breaks in my “routine” lol I can’t seem to bounce back as quick when I take a break. The other day I did 150 leg raises and I’m still feeling it. When I try to get up early in the morning and I just turn over I can hear ET the hiphop preacher “I thought you wanted this?!” It doesn’t seem to help though I still go back to sleep -.-
Anyway today I finally did something..its wednesday but better late then never I guess.
Yesterday I had a meeting for school and walked all over town while shopping and didn’t get a chance to try out my new routine but omg was I sore all over. Today I worked out by doing a little more then I did on Tuesday.
Today I did:
15 minutes on the treadmil
35 leg raises
25 knee highs
40 seconds of wall sitting
15 lunges on each leg
60 crunches with weights (omg my stomach and arms were on fire)
60 jumping jacks (which i found to be easier today)
40 seconds of plank on each side
25 side crunches (the most difficult for me of all my exercises)
and finally 25 min. of yoga with Bob :)
I’m feeling pretty good and tired but surprisingly not sore. I still havent mangaged to wake myself up at 5:30 am lol but I’m getting better. (at least I turned off my 5:30 alarm today) I’ll get there evenutally. I feel alot less stressed at the moment so I’ll probably shower now cause I sweated horribly throughout my morning workout ew yay? lol mixed emotions there.
so i’ve been trying to start this new morning routine at 5:30 am. lol i get up at 6 and act lazy til about 8 have breakfast in between etc. and start my workout at 8am. -.- even though its not at the time i would like to be working out, its definitely something because im sore and tired now lol

20 side crunches
40 crunches with weights
30 seconds on each side balancing
10 lunges on each leg
50 jumping jacks
20 knee highs on each side
20 seconds of wall sit
20 calf raises
and showered then did some very light leg stretches just to get the soreness out. i’m kinda thinking about making this an every day thing and alternating it with some morning yoga. i feel pretty good today afterwards.
this is me right after i got off of the treadmill which was my last exercise and that purple thing is my sauna suit belt :p i love that thing.
after that i weighed myself (i know it doesnt work that fast but i hadnt weighed myself in a while) ….current weight 172.5 lbs. its not that much different from when i started but i guess its still a different number then before. probably just weight fluctuation but ill take it lol gotta work out tomorrow too. (hopefully earlier)
So I haven’t really done much of any kind of exercise these past two weeks. I dont know if I should tell you why or just let you tell me that those are still excuses lol I have been maintaining my weight though according to the scale just not toning up. today is monday and its the start of a new week and a new day and i read somewhere that it takes 6 weeks to make a habit.
I’ve decided to start getting up earlier even if its just 30 min. then my usual wake up time to get in the routine of working out in the morning since i dont always seem to make it to the gym in the evening. It kinda worked today. I woke up at regular time but my morning was free and i spent about 45 minutes doing yoga and stretching and tossing around the weight ball so i feel pretty good today and actually getting a bit hungry which is right on schedule for me.
I’ve been trying to drink more water too. The only thing I hate about that is if you drink more you also have to find a bathroom more often lol but water really does help with keeping a peron energized and even keeping the bloating down.
this has definitely been a journey and im no where near done yet. i dont thik i will ever be “finished” even when i reach my goals.
the words “buffet” and “unlimited food” don’t seem to attract me anymore. at least not like they used to. i may over eat a bit still but nothing like having a buffet of food sitting in front me. portion control pretty much now.
no gym today :( I have pictures to take and invitations to write out for graduation….I’m hoping to get a workout in anyway even if it’s at home. Hopefully that works out for me. I’ve never really worked out at home before except on the treadmill. Maybe after pictures I’ll hit the treadmill. a 30 minute workout is better then a 0 minute workout right?
Today has felt so horrible. It started it off with my dog growling at me :( and then he started fighting with my other dog. He’s making me pretty nervous to be around him and I know I can’t have a dog that I’m afraid of. Anyway, onto fitness stuff. Today was my two hour workout at the gym 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of yoga. I forgot to eat something before hand and both me and my mom forgot our water. So I was super hungry and dehydrated..not good. I put alot of effort into my cardio (treadmill and eliptical machine today) so by the time yoga rolled around it was like…it was super hard for me to hold my poses but I made it through the hour and noticed a real difference in my arm strength because I was able to put more pressure on my elbows during this frog pose. In total I burned off 559 calories with todays workout. Very decent in my opinion and now I’m super tired. On the downside though, I guess I wore the wrong kind of socks today because they feel sore like they are getting blisters. :/ we’ll see what happens.
this is the idea behind frog pose although my feet are still pointing down but my body isnt putting pressure primarily on my head (which is the wrong way to do it) now my elbows are doing more of the work. then my instructor wants up to go into a full on handstand.
I found out..or I looked up that there are 3,500 calories in 1 pound. what I’m hoping by the end of the week is to at least come pretty close to that number in calories that I burn off from exercising. With the way I understand everything, hopefully this will bring me closer to losing a pound or so a week. I’m ready to lose this weight and start looking awesome in my clothes :D

I’ve burned 669 calories today with my gym time and personal workout. That’s a personal best since..ever? lol My calorie limit is 1300 but so far I’ve only had 1082 calories and with my total exercise I’ve only had 418 calories today. I feel like this is going to make an improvement if I keep at it. :D I do use myfitnesspal on the iPhone in order to keep my calorie count still and I’ve tried to stay away from soda and artificial sugars like you’ve told me. I also slept wonderfully after all of the workout exercise yesterday.
I’ve decided to start a fitness blog to try and keep me motivated to lose some of these unnecessary pounds. In the past, I’ve tried keeping blogs but never really had a theme. Hopefully with this one being more specific I’ll be able to keep in check with it. To begin with these are my stats.
